UAB Medicine COVID Vaccine Information

Thank you for your interest in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Learn more about the vaccine, safety, and other important information below including answers to the most common questions.

At this time, everyone age 12 and older is eligible for vaccination according to the Alabama Department of Public Health Guidelines. An appointment can easily be scheduled by clicking below.

You may also receive your vaccine without an appointment. Just visit one of the locations listed below during regular operating hours to receive your vaccination. Click the links for important information including directions to the vaccine locations:

Need to cancel or reschedule your vaccine appointment request?

To cancel your vaccine appointment request: If you received a COVID-19 vaccination at another location other than a UAB vaccine location, please let us know – send us an email at cancelmyvaccine@uabmc.edu and we will remove you from the vaccine appointment wait-list.

To reschedule your vaccine appointment: If you were scheduled to receive your covid vaccine at a UAB location and missed either your vaccine dose 1 or dose 2 appointment, please call 205-975-1881, option 2 – this number is to reschedule a missed vaccine appointment only.

Are you pregnant? If so, you could be eligible to participate in the CDC Epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 in Pregnancy and Infancy (ESPI) Vaccine Substudy. UAB researchers are working with the CDC to understand more about the effect of COVID-19 vaccination in pregnancy for mom and baby. Additionally we are looking for non-pregnant reproductive age women as a comparison group. Monetary compensation up to $100 is provided for your time.
